Williams
Gas Pipeline General
Description: Noise from the lube oil cooler was lowered with a pressure drop of only 0.016 inches W.G. (Water Gauge)- well within the allowable level. The lube oil pipes were isolated to stop vibration from radiating through the structure. Inserting silencing baffles treated the exhaust stack. By treating the original stack instead of replacing it, the client realized a considerable cost saving. As well, ATCO Noise Management's Type B acoustical wall was applied to certain existing wall sections to reduce the amount of noise transmitted into the surrounding environment. All acoustical work was done to comply with FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) regulations. Client: Project
Locations: Technical
Information: Acoustical
Requirements: Original source noise levels at station 125 were 46 dBA at the NSA (650 feet). Acoustical
requirements: << back to Retrofit
