Scope of Work :
Design, supply and erection of acoustical building complete with fans, silencers, unit heaters, acoustically treated personnel doors and equipment doors for the 545 MW gas-fired power plant.

Noise Level Target :
The building was designed to achieve:

57 dBA at SW Residential Zoning LIne
60 dBA at W Commerical Zoning Line
50 dBA at NW Residential Zoning Line
70 dBA at S & E Industrial Zoning Line

Unique Project Challenges :
This was a fast-track project located in an area experiencing a high demand for qualified manpower. The labor situation raised the potential for time delays and cost over-runs. ATCO was able to avoid these challenges by clearly communicating with the subcontractors and carefully coordinating their work.

Silencing Solutions :
ATCO Noise Management designed, supplied and installed the following components: 25 roof top exhaust silencers, 38 intake silencers, and the acoustic wall and roof envelope for over 200,000 square feet of surface area.
