Acoustical
off-skid enclosures for gas compressor buildings
General
Description:
ATCO Noise Management Ltd. was commissioned by the turbocompressor
supplier to design, supply, and install four off-skid acoustical
enclosures on TransCanada Pipelines' main pipeline that runs
8,870 miles from the Alberta-Saskatchewan to Quebec-Vermont
borders. The enclosures were supplied with acoustical ventilation
systems complete with fans and ventilation intake and exhaust
silencers. ATCO Noise Management also designed, supplied,
and installed the combustion air intake and exhaust systems.
Acoustical equipment doors were utilized in conjunction with
an innovative, exterior crane system that allows for the easy
removal of the turbine or compressor for maintenance. ATCO
Noise Management also supplied auxilliary fire suppression,
fire and gas detection, electrical and crane systems, and
a utility building at each station.
