Scope of Work:
Design, supply and erection of nine acoustical on-skid enclosures at a gas production plant. For all nine enclosures, ATCO Noise Management designed and installed the acoustical envelope and doors. Panels were included in the design to facilitate the removal and installation of equipment. Three enclosures for the gas compressors were also supplied with an acoustical ventilation system, including fans, dampers and silencers.
Technical:
Caterpillar G3608TA engines:
3335 Hp and 1000 rpm
Sound Power Level (PWL) for each engine of 143 dBA
Noise level target was 41 dBA at 500 m.
Remarks:
The acoustical enclosures were required to limit noise from an expansion of ATCO Midstream's Golden Spike gas production plant. Under the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (AEUB) noise regulations, the expansion could not contribute additional noise to the surrounding area.
