As
part of a complete noise reduction system,  ATCO
Noise Management offers various types of acoustical personnel and
equipment doors and acoustical windows.
Acoustical
Doors
Acoustical doors
incorporate mass, damping and absorption concepts to effectively
block sound transmission. Doors are triple-hinged and are constructed
with flush faces to prevent noise leakage. Seals, caulking, hardware
and frames are integrated into a door's design to ensure acoustical
integrity. Features of doors supplied by ATCO Noise Management include:
- STC (Sound
Transmission Class) - A variety of STC sound ratings are offered.
- Integrated
sealing - Adjustable sound seals are mounted on the main frame
and gaskets are fitted on the bottom of the door to seal the threshold.
- Fire-rated
- If fire resistance is required, doors are supplied that meet
with ASTM American Society of Testing Materials), CSA (Canadian
Standards Association) and ISO (International Standards Organization)
fire ratings.
- Durable -
As required, exterior steel plates are primed and finished, or
pre-finished to match the appearance of the building's walls.
Acoustical
Windows
ATCO Noise Management
offers single or multi-paned acoustical windows as part of our complete
acoustical design package. Windows range in thickness and acoustical
performance. Similar to acoustical doors, seals, sills and hardware
form an integral part of the acoustical window design.
