In 1992, the ATCO Group recognized a need and seized the opportunity by establishing a new ATCO company specializing in industrial noise control and acoustical consulting services. Initially, the new company's personnel came from an ATCO company that specialized in steel buildings - ATCO Metal. Proprietary Acoustical Assemblies

Developed through our industry leading research and development program, over 25 acoustical wall assemblies have been introduced to the industrial marketplace since we began our business. Before release, each assembly type undergoes extensive testing in laboratories accredited by ISO (International Standards Organization), ASTM (American Standards for Testing Materials), and CSA (Canadian Standards Association). The test results are later confirmed in actual installations in the field.

Used primarily in the construction of acoustical buildings and enclosures, each proprietary assembly is designed to control various industrial noise sources: engines, turbines, generators, compressors, pumps, transformers and valves. Each acoustical assembly is also engineered to treat different levels and frequencies of noise. One of the significant design advantages of our acoustical assemblies, is their ability to be customized to suit any facility layout and environmental location.

Our team of acoustical, mechanical and structural engineers is experienced in all areas of design, procurement and construction of new acoustical projects, as well as acoustical upgrading of existing facilities. Our acoustical designs and know-how are applicable in every industry, with successful projects in power generation, gas transmission, transportation, petrochemical, rock crushing, drilling, gas storage, engine testing, bottling plants, pumping stations, industrial gas manufacturing, paper shredding, etc. Our engineering design process and production of acoustical structures and equipment are produced in accordance with the ISO 9001-2000 standard and all applicable manufacturing and building codes. Our in-house costing and project tracking system, combined with our network of pre-qualified suppliers, provides acoustical solutions that are cost-effective and guaranteed to meet each customer's specific noise target.
